I am in no conceivable way, a Ben Manfredi, Jason/Josh Hummel or a Sky Sjue but I like how they document(ed) their adventures, and thus would like to do the same. My stuff might not seem quite as extreme as their quests because, well, they aren't. For every fifteen peaks/rock faces they've climbed up and then skied down, I've done one average hike, frolicking in the meadows. If that. The most danger I put myself in front of is maybe getting eaten by a 120 lb Cascade Range mountain lion - which, would be bad. But hey, not everyone was born to do what they do and I stress out enough just reading their stories. I'm deathly fearful of heights, really suck at skiing/boarding or anything on ice/snow except sliding in my car and really like to be warm. I'm satisfied with walking around the trees, knowing that the far future holds more beautiful things than the absolutely best mountain range in the world. Nonetheless, I admire their drive and accomplishments. Just completely amazing.
But once in a while I do get an itch for the slightly above average stuff. Like Mt. Rainier. I'll be posting any future endeavor's on this page in chronological order at first. I wish I had taken more pictures of my hikes the past 15 years (man I'm old) but I didn't, so there's more text than pictures. I hope to photographically document my future hikes more thoroughly, with better photos.
Check out the Google Earth "flying tours" of the trips as well. You must have Google Earth installed. Download it here.
